Community Open House A Success
We estimate close to 100 visitors came to mingle with us, enjoy the BBQ and ice cream, face painting, not to mention try lawn bowling for the first time and as you can see people were signing up on the day ! The bottom green resembled crazy golf and culminated with a very competitive 12 year old girl winning the closest to the pin prize !
A huge thank you goes to all our sponsors, particularly Fresh Street Market, who donated some of the food and gave us a really good deal on the rest.
The noticeboard on the shed shows a list of all of our community sponsors, and thank you to Geoff Pershick’s family for printing the notice ! If I name names I will leave someone out, but all of you who helped in the kitchen, at the BBQ, on the greens, with the paper bag draw, in the information tent, welcoming visitors at the gate, face painting, giving out ice creams, stocking up, setting up and clearing up, you know who you are and the day would not have been so successful without your efforts – thank you!
At the Open House some of you were watching photographs of our Open Day (members) on the TV. I am hoping that every time we have photographs to share we can run then as a slide show.
Just one more thing – I forgot to say – please sign up for the Victorian Tea (May 18) by the end of this Friday – May 15. You can email me if you are not going to get to the club this week.
Hoping you have a great week, and looking forward to welcoming our newcomers!
