BCBlogowhiteNIt wasn’t the colour he was after but Tim Mason of West Van LBC returned home with another Canadian Medal, this time it was Bronze. A week long tournament at the Pacific Indoor saw some of the best players from across the country show their stuff at the Canadian Indoor Lawn Bowling Championships. A week long event that consisted of 11 games of round robin action with the top 2 going through to the Gold Medal game and 3rd and 4th place fighting it out for the Bronze.

Three players eventually finished with 9-2 records. Pat Bird of Alberta, Vince Mai, BC and also Tim Mason BC finished with identical records but it was sets that determined the top finishers. Bird and Mai would eventually go through to the Gold Medal game with Mai winning in straight sets 9-6, 8-7. Mason played Michael Leong in the Bronze Medal game and came away victorious in a straight set victory 10-6, 13-1 to take home the Bronze Medal.

“It was a great week out there with some good players” It wasn’t the finish I was looking for but its another National Medal that I am happy to have” said Mason.
