June 19th was the tenth year that the President’s Cup was contested. The one day/three game event was hosted by Granville Park with 16 teams of four competing from different clubs in the V&D.

The teams are made up of members of the board of directors and major contributors to each club. Our team was skipped by our focused, indomitable, never-say-die club treasurer Jim Duholke (who also authored this piece), at vice was Roger Horn, at second was Pat Chapman and Grethe Jensen was lead.

Of all the teams entered, only West Vancouver and Maple Ridge won all three of their games, based on scoring the most points (44). For the first time ever West Vancouver took home the trophy! Actually, I took it home but my wife advised me that it couldn’t stay on the kitchen counter, so it is now at the club.
